Our Mission
Alexandra’s Army recruits and trains kids to perform neighborhood food drives in order to help end local food insecurity. Additionally, the organization provides leadership development opportunities to local youth.

Alexandra D
Alexandra is 14 years old and is in the 9th grade. She enjoys playing piano, reading, karate lessons, playing basketball, kayaking, and being creative. She was a recipient of the 2019 City of Bloomington SWAGGER Award, recognized for her commitment to her community in helping to improve the lives of those around her. Her favorite food is pasta.

Willa D
Willa is 14 years old and is in 9th grade. She likes math, jiu-jitsu, reading, soccer, art, and playing with her dog Ida. She wants to help make sure people have enough food for their family. At school, she and a friend organized students to work with the city about the importance of trees. Her favorite food is pickles.
